50th Anniversary 1963 - 2013
2013 marks a milestone in the history of Jubb Consulting following 50 years of successful trading.Charles Tharnthong, joined the Company in 1980, became a partner in 1984 and took on the role as Managing Director following incorporation in 1999, "I have derived a huge amount satisfaction leading the Company throughout this period and would like to thank all staff and clients past and present for the support the Company has received..." continued in the news section
New Appointment
Jubb Consulting are delighted to announce that Rob Harrhy will be joining the Company on 8th April as a Director. This key appointment is a central part of the Company’s strategic plan to strengthen and develop the Civil and Infrastructure side of the business. Rob is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years experience in this sector, many of those spent at Director level with Buro Happold, White Young Green and WS Atkins.
Cardiff and Vale College
This is a new development for Cardiff and Vale College and the largest education project in Cardiff. With work due to start in the Summer of 2013 and completion set for the Summer of 2015, Jubb Consulting are pleased to be providing Structural and Civil Engineering services and transport services for this project using Revit as the key design tool to efficiently co-ordinate with the project team.
Five Islands School Wins Civic Trust Award
This new “through-school” serving ages from 3 to 16 for the Isles of Scilly was the 2013 recipient of the Civic Trust Award recognising excellence in the built environment.Jubb Consulting Engineers provided structural, civil, environmental and flood engineering services to this successful project which was completed to programme despite the many challenges faced due to its island location.
Somerset County Cricket Club
Jubb Consulting Engineers are working alongside LED architects on the New Pavilion and Grandstand for Somerset County Cricket Club. The new development will incorporate a large café & bar/bistro, corporate facilities, a new media centre, feature canopy, roof top garden and bar facilities resulting in a superb space for domestic cricket as well as meeting the technical requirements needed to host international matches.It is expected that construction will be completed by the start of the 2015 campaign.
Torwood Street Torquay
Torwood Street is a mixed use development including Hotel, Residential, Retail and Restaurant located in central Torquay. The new building structure will be constructed adjacent the existing highway retaining wall forming ‘The Terrace’ which requires careful consideration and liaison with the local authority to ensure suitable access for future maintenance is provided. Jubb Consulting will be providing structural and civil services for this exciting development.
