The grand opening of Butts Bridge Highway Improvements took place on Friday 14th February with the Flying Scotsman steaming over the new bridge. School children lined Butts Green below to wave the engine across.
Rob Harrhy (Jubb Director) and Harry Giblin (Jubb Senior Structural Engineer) we’re on the train as it passed over the bridge, along with other members of the construction and client team. Alan Titchmarsh made a special appearance and gave a congratulating speech at Alton station.
Jubb were responsible for the transport, highway and structural design elements and our performance on the project was well received by everyone involved. The grand reopening was a fine end to a great project.
