Primary School Presentation

Over the last two years Jamie Thomas of our Bristol Office has been working as an ambassador for the StemNET programme, which involves visiting local schools to carry out STEM related activities.

In the past this has involved giving careers talks on engineering to secondary school classes, and giving primary school children an introduction to engineering and geology.  Most recently Jamie delivered a workshop and practical session at Blaise Primary School, introducing their year three classes to geology and how rocks and fossils are formed. The practical session involved looking at a collection of rocks and fossils, and trying to determine how they may have been formed.
