Women in Engineering

Jubb were asked to give a presentation at the Bay Campus, Swansea University on Wednesday 20th June, in support of ‘Women in Engineering’.  The presentation demonstrated the experience gained by women within the industry, including a number of projects undertaken by Jubb.

Elizabeth Side, who is based at our Cardiff office, gave the presentation which covered projects such as Cardiff & Vale College, University of Wales Trinity St David’s SA1 Campus, as well as the refurbishment works at Church Street, Cardiff.  Elizabeth also talked about her personal experiences working on these particular projects.

A number of female students studying STEM subjects at college were in attendance, in addition to a number of university students and staff.  Attendees were given a practical challenge as well as a tour of Swansea University, and an opportunity to engage with female engineers.

All in all, Swansea University provided an excellent day for female students to gain further insight into the many aspects and careers of engineering available.
