I joined Jubb in 2007 as a Graduate. It has been a challenging but truly rewarding journey for me. I have not only witnessed the ups and downs of the business, but I have also grown stronger with the company, achieving my Chartered membership with the’ Institution of Logistic and Transport’ and expanding my professional competence through the delivery of a diverse range of challenging projects.
There is an ambience of great team spirit across all levels and disciplines, and help is readily available whenever needed. Jubb truly value their staff and the management team commit themselves to best accommodate all staff needs and provide great support to individuals and help them to flourish in the organisation and advance their career.
I am still enjoying my experience with Jubb and I am excited to see what the future holds.Next testimonial
From day one of working for Jubb I felt like part of a great team. Working with and learning from experienced professional engineers and technicians has expanded and developed my engineering and construction knowledge. Jubb have enabled me to work on an interesting and challenging variety of projects broadening my engineering competence. I’m currently working toward obtaining my chartership with the Institution of Structural Engineers, which Jubb have been very encouraging and helpful with, providing me with a mentor. Working with others in teams has been an opportunity to learn, practice and hopefully improve my management skills. The experience I have gained so far has been invaluable and I look forward to future projects and challenges.Next testimonial
Jubb have been very welcoming from the start and the atmosphere in the Winchester office is always convivial. Working in a small office has given me the opportunity to own projects from start to finish while still being supported and having a sounding board for all matters, technical and managerial. The projects are interesting and varied and it has been very satisfying to see some of them come to fruition. There have been two steel frames with challenging geometries that have required design by 3D modelling and careful consideration of setting out and buildability. In contrast I have had the opportunity to do surveys and alteration designs for existing buildings from large shopping centres to domestic houses. My projects have involved all different structural materials and have been in different sectors. It is very gratifying to be delivering projects that serve the community such as care homes and educational buildings as well as more glamorous projects like the Ferrari after sales garage. The variety of designs has given me the opportunity to become more familiar with the Eurocodes and CPD talks are often arranged which keep us up to date with structural products. All in all the experience of working for Jubb is very rewarding with less stress but just as much productivity.Next testimonial
Joining Jubb has proven to be one of the best decisions I have made. Since joining I have had some really great opportunities which have enabled me to develop my career. I have been able to develop my skills, broaden my knowledge, and most importantly achieve a lifelong ambition of becoming a Chartered Engineer; all with the support of Jubb.
One of the things I enjoy is that no day is the same. The projects that we get involved in provide many challenges, but at the same time make what we do as Engineers very interesting.
Having the ability to assist in key decisions and guide the team to provide some extra value within a project is very rewarding. Whether that be making minor alterations to make a scheme more viable, or radically rethinking a concept to provide a more efficient proposal; these are things that make for a very interesting career.
I look forward to the future within the business.Next testimonial
