Ross Pomery joins Jubb as new Director of the Plymouth Office

Formerly a Technical Director with Curtins and approaching 20 years’ experience in Civil and Structural Engineering, Ross joins Jubb as a new Director in our Plymouth office. Ross’ proven track record within the wider South West region will also enhance and support our other offices based in Bristol, Cardiff and Winchester. Ross’ experience and past knowledge of managing a broad range of engineering services, demonstrates our continued focus to enhance and strengthen our delivery and senior leadership team.

Ross is an enthusiastic, well-rounded and respected engineer. A past student of Bath University and a Chartered Engineer with both Civil and Structural Engineering Institutions. Ross’ experience covers most sectors within the built environment including residential, education, commercial, industrial and mixed-use. Some notable award-winning projects have included managing the design on two new build theatres, the careful restoration and reuse of a large public realm heritage building, a world class education and research facility and the remodelling and upscaling of existing commercial premises.

Ross has a passion for Client engagement and striving to offer design solutions which are well considered, efficient, practical and uncomplicated. He has a keenness to explore the reuse and potential to reconfigure existing structures to offer enhanced value, prior to the adoption of new build alternatives, as well as exploring new technologies and construction methodologies. Appreciating that civil and structural design needs to evolve if it is to meet the requirements of the modern world.

Commenting on his new role, Ross said “Joining the Jubb team feels like the next exciting chapter of my career. Having worked predominantly in the south west, I have always had good awareness of Jubb and their project portfolio. I’m therefore excited to be appointed as a Director and look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the business. From a personal perspective having grown up in Cornwall, I am passionate about working with Clients and other designers who value local design knowledge and input to create a built environment which we can be proud of in years and generations to come. I look forward to focusing on these principles and engaging with existing, past and new partners who share a similar viewpoint”.
